A Night At The Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort

April 11, 2017

The Sheraton brand is one that is synonymous with luxury, comfort and style, and it is for this reason alone that this multiple award-winning resort should be your number one choice the next time you plan a trip to Bali’s vibrant Kuta beachfront. For those already familiar with the Sheraton brand, it is assurance enough that your holiday home in Bali would be nothing short of spectacular, and you can expect unrivaled service, luxurious creature comforts, delicious cuisine and state-of-the-art amenities throughout your stay.

With the recent Nyepi celebrations shutting down the island for a day, we checked in to the Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort to enjoy 2 days and 1 night of absolute luxury and pampering. As expected, everything went brilliantly from the get go, with friendly but strict security guards and staff members reassuring us that our best interests are being looked after. Designed to mimic the steps of the iconic Balinese rice terraces, the resort’s elevated position offers unimpeded views from almost every floor, with spacious open-air patios and large open spaces within. At the lobby, sweeping views of the outdoor rooftop pool and the sparkling sea greeted us as we checked in, along with a gentle sea breeze and the delicious sounds of waves in the distance.

Set on 5.2 acres of lush, tropical land and facing the world-renowned Kuta beach, Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort offers 203 luxurious and plush guest rooms and suites ranging from 46 to 265 square meters, each fitted with Sheraton Signature Sleep Experience and a spacious private balcony with uninterrupted views of the Indian Ocean or the resort’s signature social courtyard. There is also a signature two-story Presidential Suite with oceanic views and contemporary approach of Balinese interior and private sundeck lounge.

As we settled in for a day and night of relaxation and tranquility, we took full advantage of the resort’s five-star amenities and services. Our favourite thing about the resort was our room; the Deluxe Ocean Front Room that came with the most divine King Sized bed that delivered the best night’s sleep. Fitted with plush carpeting, armchair, desk and desk chair, a flat-screen TV with International channels, the room was serene and quiet, with sliding glass doors that opened up onto its own private terrace and a zen pool that overlooked the resort’s courtyard. We find that this is the ideal space for star-gazing at night with friends or a loved one. The bathroom is opulent; a combination of chic and contemporary with modern day practicalities, with a marble vanity, rains showers and a free standing bath-tub, perfect for a long, warm, delicious bath.

Breakfast at Feast was an entire experience in itself, with cuisines from around the world to satisfy any craving. Sushi, sashimi, a plethora of cereals and pastries, hot stations for eggs, pancakes and waffles, and not forgetting the all-time Asian and International selections, fresh juices, coffee and tea. Feast is also the place to go for all-day dining, with its vibrant open-kitchen, located alongside Beachwalk’s patio overlooking the Kuta Beach. For a light-hearted Italian kitchen, head to Bene and relish mesmerizing views of the beautiful Bali Strait on the rooftop deck level while the Lounge offers a locally inspired cocktail menu, with open-air setting and breathtaking panoramic views of the beach.

Silent Day or no, the resort’s open-air roof-top pool was in full swing – the sun was shining and families were enjoying swimming, relaxing and playing about in the water as staff members served cold, refreshing drinks. From the lobby, we sat overlooking this fantastic view as we indulged in some delightful Afternoon Tea, featuring myriad cakes and savories, and a wide selection of tea and coffee to choose from. To keep children and families entertained, the ballroom and function rooms were transformed into home-theatres, featuring age-appropriate movies suitable for all ages. The resort had also prepared pool tables, ping-pong tables, a game room with consoles with snacks and juice carts; a vivid testament to the resort’s brand of incomparable service and care.
