Buggies & Chocolate Adventures

Last month, Bali Adventure Tours announced its latest company expansion at the village of Tatag, near Ubud, on the main road 3 kilometers before the famous Elephant Safari Park & Lodge. The indulgent event saw the launch of 3 new products; the Mason Gourmet Chocolate Factory & Showroom, Koko Bambu Restaurant and Mason Jungle Buggies.

For almost 30 years the Mason family has been synonymous with quality dining and adventure experiences ranging from White Water Rafting, Mountain Cycling, Tropical Trekking, luxury Helicopter Flights, and intimate Elephant Experiences. Now, that same passion, drive and commitment for excellence are emulated in Mason Gourmet Chocolate. Inspired by nature and crafted to perfection using only the best hand-picked cocoa beans sourced throughout the Indonesian archipelago, the ‘Tropical Blend’ is carefully selected from each island, then roasted to perfection before being blended using only the finest organic ingredients. The chocolate factory is part of a large stunning bamboo restaurant, Koko Bambu, overlooking the pool, rice paddies and the jungle’s edge. The restaurant serves an interesting menu, which is a mix of Western meets Indonesian, meets chocolate. The art factory uses only the latest Italian chocolate making machinery and guests can see the chocolate making process from cocoa bean through to an exotic range of deluxe chocolates, all available in its modern showroom. Guests can watch, taste and purchase from over 6000 selection of pralines, truffles, super thins, chocolate coated nuts and bars of dark, milk or white chocolate.

At the same location, Mason Jungle Buggies was launched; another addition to Bali Adventure Tours’ adventure catalogue. Buggy rides are offered on Bali’s first and only purpose-built jungle track that winds through 4.5km of challenging trail each lap. “It’s like go-karting meets rally driving in the jungle, no other ATV company in Bali can compare with this exciting new tour,” states Nigel Mason, company founder. This thrilling new course was crafted with the hardiest adventure seekers in mind to provide an exciting and intense driving experience like no other. Utilizing Polaris Buggies, guests have the option between single-seated ACE models or to ride tandem with a friend or guide in double-seated RZR models and the number of laps to complete. To ensure safety, each buggy is fully equipped with certified roll cages, three-point seatbelts and safety nets. The challenging and varied dirt trail will test guests’ capabilities and leave them yearning for more. The final highlight of the day was when Alistair Speirs, chairman of ‘The World’s M.V.B Indonesia’ presented Bali Adventure Tours with the award for ‘Indonesia’s Most Valued Business 2017’ for the following values: Sustainability, Best Possible Business Practices, Ethical Employment, Safety and Security, Customer Service and Respect, Environmental Friendliness and Corporate Values.

Open 7 days a week, this is the perfect spot for a Jungle Buggie ride, a meal or simply to indulge your sweet tooth with a gelato or a visit to Mason Gourmet’s chocolate extravaganza. To find out more on Mason Jungle Buggies, visit masonjunglebuggies.com today.
