cinco-de-mayo-celebration-in-bali

It may not be an official holiday in Indonesia, though Cinco de Mayo is an international celebration that many people all over tend to love. Dating back to May 5, 1862 when the Mexican army defeated the French army at the Battle of Puebla, this day marked a victory for the Mexican people as they defeated a European colonial power. Signifying Hispanic & Mexican pride, the day has become a time to celebrate the rich culture and is a great opportunity to join in the festive cheer with song, dance, and partying.

Bali may not have any large Cinco de Mayo parties, though if you’d like to participate in the spirit of the holiday, you can always try one of the several great Mexican restaurants on the island – There are plenty of them offering exceptionally tasty dishes.
