Things To Do In Nusa Dua

Nusa Dua is an area in southern peninsula of Bali Island. We know that Nusa Dua area is well-known with its Bali Tourism Development Corporation (BTDC) where you can easily find 5-star resorts, well-maintained parks which is arranged neatly on the street.

Besides enjoying the BTDC area, of course you are wondering what you can do in Nusa Dua during your visit in Bali Island? In this article we would like to share about things that you can do in Nusa Dua and also some recomended places for you to visit and stay.

Nusa Dua has a lot of stunning beaches where you can enjoy both the panoramic of sunrise and sunset. There some famous beaches that you have to visit, namely:

1. Nusa Dua Beach

This is a popular public beach located within the BTDC area. Located just behind the Bali Collection shopping center, this beach is open to the public. Anyone can come to enjoy swimming and sunbathing on the beach. Nearby there is also a popular surfing spot called "Mushroom Rock".

2. Geger Beach

Geger Beach is a beautiful beach located outside the BTDC complex. This public beach is a popular choice for visitors. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent, and there are several local stalls where you can order fresh snacks and fresh coconuts. Geger Beach is located away from BTDC, we  suggest you to use Taxi to take you there.

3. Pandawa Beach

Pandawa beach was a hidden beach, but nowadays, more people seem to be discovering this public beach which is located quite close about 30 minutes drive from the BTDC area. Located at the southern tip of Nusa Dua and the road to Uluwatu, Pandawa Beach is reached by a bumpy road that leads to the beach and passes several large statues carved into the cliff. You can see the stunning Indian Ocean from the top cliff, and this beacg is a perfect place to capture pictures.

Tanjung Benoa is located in Benoa harbor. Just a 10-minute drive from Nusa Dua. On the east side of the coast there is Mecca of Marine Sports in Bali, where there are 10 water sports companies operating on the beach. Popular activities include parasailing, banana boats and jet ski. Most companies offer locker facilities, towel and restaurant. Booking is not important but it's a good idea to check the tide of seawater to make the most of your day can be done on the water.

If you think that you are enough with the beach then why not to go to the museum. Museum Pasifika is a large museum located next to Bali Collection within the BTDC complex in Nusa Dua. The museum has 11 galleries that list 600 artworks from 200 artists from 25 countries, including works by European artists living in Bali.

In Nusa Dua, if you are bored with sand but not with the water, try to visit Water Blow. It is a place where you can see a big waves meet sidelines of the coral that eventually makes the sea water crashing upwards to make a kind of huge white foam in the air. We can see this attractions if the wave is big. Just prepare to get wet by sea water when water slammed up.

Nusa Dua offers several opportunities to do shopping, Bali Collection is a shopping center for tourists who live in BTDC area. Spacious place owned by the popular Sogo Department Store, around 90 fashion outlets, restaurants, spas, a supermarket, art shops and lots of open spaces with seats and you can rest before continuing shopping.
