As we stepped into ilLido Bali, the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere transports one to an enchanting summertime in Italy - in dulcet tones of mahogany, deep grey and bronze and in timbered furniture made with the finest teak - is an all-new vision of contemporary Italian luxury blended with traditional Indonesian architecture. 

 

Pushed by passion for the most humble allure of Italian cooking, the menu is an authentic showcase of timeless classics with traditional and familiar ingredients and flavours.

 

sphagetty-with-tomato-cherryWe were told that Beppe De Vito himself plays a huge role in the creation of the menu with his Italian Chef, Luca Masini. Together they emphasize that Italian food is about exalting natural flavours of all ingredients; including freshness, provenance and seasonality.

 

Every bite at ilLido is a testament to its trademark of Italian quality and generosity. We couldn’t have enough of its home made Italian bread that crackled on the outside as we break it, and was deliciously soft, fluffy and warm inside, which we dipped into succulent home-made olive oil.

 

Scallops with Asparagus and Lobster Sauce was a delectable treat. The tuna tartare with tomato caviar was a burst of delicious freshness while the duck leg confit with smoked breast and snapper with fennel and beetroot were true foodie’s dream come true.

 

To quote restaurateur Beppe De Vito, “We have created a series of set menus that create a dining story for our guests. Dining with us at ilLido Bali is a memorable experience, whether as a group on Ladies’ Night, enjoying some of our favourite dishes on the Dinner Set Menu or dropping by for lunch. Every item on the new menus is inspired by Bali and its amazing natural ingredients.”

 

 

ilLido Bali introduces Ladies’ Night Prosecco Dinner series in September, perfect for girlie getaways and nights out. Hosted every Wednesday from 6pm to 10:30pm, the dinners showcase exclusive 3-course menu of the restaurant’s brand new dishes, served with free flow prosecco and Balini (the island’s call to the classic Bellini cocktail featuring prosecco and fresh guava), at just IDR 600,000++ per person. 

 

The outlet recently launched a four-course Dinner Set Menu that draws upon recommended specialties from ilLido Bali’s a la carté menu such as Grilled Octopus with Nduja, Snapper with Fennel & Beetroot. A Set Lunch Menu, featuring seasonal and chef’s specials that changes daily, is also available.
