The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (MOTCE)/Tourism and Creative Economy Agency of the Republic of Indonesia will host International Wellness Tourism Conference & Festival (IWTCF) on August, 5-7th 2022, in Solo (Surakarta) – Central Java, Indonesia. The event is jointly organized by MOTCE for conference and workshop; Orchid Associates for Exhibition and Business Matching; and Indonesia Wellness Institute (IWI) for Field Trip.
The IWTCF 2022 will serve as an alignment to G20 Presidency as an official side event. The event will carry the theme “Sustainability Strategy for the Recovery and Growth of World Tourism through Wellness Tourism for All” with aims to promote and showcase wellness products and wellness tourism products in Indonesia, that support well-being and recovery. The conference will be conducted in parallel with thematic workshops, exhibition and business matching. Prior to the event, sequence high-level working group meetings are carried out to an in-depth review and to formulate a road map of Indonesia Wellness Tourism Development which include initiatives, collaborative action plan, and timeline. Meanwhile, the post event will be celebrated with an organized fieldtrip package, from One Day/Overnight Trip in Java to Bali.
The event predicted will be attended more than 300 participants per day, with delegations priorities are wellness stakeholders from G20 member countries, ASEAN countries, and Indonesia itself. For 3 days, there will be more than 30 speakers with different topics and 30 exhibitors and additional 14 curated MSMEs, ranging from wellness categories such as personal care and beauty; healthy eating, nutrition, & weight loss; physical activities; wellness tourism, spa, and spring; traditional and complementary medicine; public health, prevention, and personalized medicine; wellness real estate; and mental health.
