KOKOKAN RESTAURANT PRESENTS FOUR-HANDS DINNER COLLABORATION: SEGARA GUNUNG – NEW HEIGHTS IN BALINESE GASTRONOMY

Kappa Senses Ubud is pleased to announce the upcoming Four-Hands Dinner collaboration at Kokokan Restau- rant with the concept of Segara Gunung, a celebration of the growing recognition of Balinese local food in the international fine dining scene. This event marks an exciting collaboration as well with Ubud Food Festival to showcasing the successful fusion of traditional Balinese flavors with international fine dining techniques, elevating the local cuisine to a new level of global appeal.

Scheduled for June 1st, 2024, the Four-Hands Dinner at Kokokan Restaurant represents an opportunity for food enthusiasts and connoisseurs to indulge in an immersive culinary journey that embraces the vibrant flavors and cultural significance of Balinese cuisine. The event highlights the commitment of Kappa Senses Ubud to the preservation and promotion of the rich culinary traditions of Bali on the world stage.

The concept of ‘Segara Gunung,’ symbolizing a journey from the ocean to the mountain in line with Balinese heritage culture as important part of high temple ceremony, serves as a testament to our dedication to promot- ing Balinese gastronomy internationally. This collaboration at Kokokan Restaurant underscores our commit- ment to preserving and celebrating the diverse culinary heritage of Bali.

The dinner will be 7 courses from two highly talented native Balinese chefs, Chef Wayan Kresna Yasa of Home by Chef Wayan, and Chef Eka Arsana, Executive Chef at Kappa Senses Ubud, will co-lead the event. Each chef brings a wealth of experience gained from international culinary settings. Chef Wayan will showcase the modern interpretation of Nusa Penida cuisine, while Chef Eka will present a refined take on Ubud’s street food, inspired by his establishment’s location.

Join us on the 31st of May from 1.30pm – 2.30pm at Ground Event’s Teather Kuliner during the Ubud Food Festi- val 2024 for an exclusive cooking demo with Chef Eka. This special event offers attendees a sneak peek into one of the tantalizing plates featured in the upcoming Kokokan Four-Hands Dinner, another UFF 2024 event.

Experience the culinary expertise of Chef Eka as he guides attendees through the cooking process, providing insights into techniques and ingredients used to create this delectable dish. Attendees will have the opportuni- ty to witness firsthand the artistry behind Chef Eka’s creations.
