Christmas & New Year’s Eve at COMO Uma Ubud
Immerse yourself in lush Tjampuhan Valley this festive season, amidst the rich Balinese landscape and culture that surrounds COMO Uma Ubud. To help you celebrate Christmas and New Year, the resort has planned a number of delightful dining options for in-house and non-staying guests from festive feasts to traditional Balinese dance performances.
On December 24th 2019, it’s time for a festive Christmas Eve dinner at Uma Cucina with a four-course Italian menu. Enjoy live music throughout the night and classic Italian dishes such as the Tuna Carpaccio with shaved fennel, pomelo, caper and dill followed by the Pumpkin Tortellini with almond and sage butter sauce. Then dig into the Snapper Aqua Pazza with mussels OR the Roast Pork Belly with salsa verde. Dinner begins at 6.30pm until 10.30pm and is priced at just IDR 550,000 per person. Wine pairing is available for a supplementary charge of IDR 450,000 per person.
Christmas Day Dinner is a Balinese-inspired affair at Kemiri with selected Balinese wines for each course. Traditional dance and musical performances will add vibrancy to this special dinner as you feast on traditional Balinese cuisine, starting with canapés featuring the Minced Fish Sate Lilit on lemongrass with spiced peanut sauce and the Spiced Minced Prawns with long beans, toasted coconut and cabbage. Warm the palate with a Balinese Hot and Sour Seafood Soup OR the Balinese marinated oxtail soup before the main course of Smoked Local Duck with Balinese spice;
Roasted Pork Belly with bumbu Rajang; Wok-Fried Squid with chilli, beans and kemangi. Desserts are delectable Balinese favourites such as Steamed Cassava Roulade with mango, jackfruit and palm sugar sauce and the Banana and Pumpkin Stew with coconut cream sauce. Christmas Day Dinner begins at 7.00pm until 10.30pm for IDR 360,000 per person. Wine pairing is available for a supplementary charge of IDR 250,000 per person.
Kemiri restaurant will be open to in- house guests exclusively for a New Year’s Eve Gala Dinner at just IDR 1,562,00 per person. Begin the night at Uma Bar where cocktails and canapés will be served and be entertained by a series of traditional Balinese dances. Following this, you will enjoy a four-course menu featuring Indonesian dishes designed to bring in the New Year with an explosion of taste and colour. Feast on a selection of delicacies including Yellow n Tuna Tartare, Crispy Duck Salad and Coconut Custard. As midnight approaches, guests can head towards Uma Cucina to raise a glass at midnight and continue revelling until 2.00am. Non-staying guests can also welcome in the New Year at Uma Cucina, the resort’s Italian- inspired restaurant from 6.30pm onwards. Dine on delicious and authentic Italian favourites from the à la carte menu, and after dinner, the fun continues! Dance to a live DJ and enjoy the live band performance well into the wee hours of the morning.
